Onboarding overview
This document provides an overview about the onboarding process for Amazon Business Application Programming Interfaces (APIs).
Getting started
To access Amazon Business APIs, you need approval from the Amazon Business team. After you receive approval, you create an Amazon Business account and complete registration.
Request access
To request access, complete the Amazon Business API Onboarding questionnaire.
The questionnaire takes about 10–15 minutes to complete. It asks about your company, your business model, the customers you serve, and the regions and APIs you need. You do not need to know the specific Amazon Business API names. Instead, describe the experience you want to build, and the Amazon Business team maps it to the right APIs.
After you submit, the Amazon Business team reviews your submission and contacts you if any additional information is needed.
Post approval
After the Amazon Business team approves your request, you receive registration instructions over email. These instructions include how to:
- Complete creating your Amazon Business account
- Create your SPP account
- Submit your developer profile
You cannot self-select Amazon Business API roles. The Amazon Business team assigns roles after they review your request.
