Onboarding overview
This document provides an overview about the onboarding process for Amazon Business Application Programming Interfaces (APIs).
Getting started
To access Amazon Business APIs, you need approval from the Amazon Business team. After you receive approval, you create an Amazon Business account and complete registration.
Request access
Send an email to [email protected] with the following details:
- First name
- Last name
- Job title
- Work email address
- Phone number
- Organisation name
- Postal code
- Industry
- Number of Employees
- Intended use case
- Specific APIs you want to access
- Whether the platform or service intends to use an Agent to access Amazon Business APIs directly or indirectly.
An “Agent” includes any software or service that takes autonomous or semi-autonomous action on behalf of, or at the instruction of, any person or entity, including any action that is not initiated by human, authenticated end users.
The Amazon Business team reviews your request to determine the appropriate API access. The team contacts you if they require additional information to proceed.
Post approval
After the Amazon Business team approves your request, you receive registration instructions over email. These instructions include how to:
- Complete creating your Amazon Business account
- Create your SPP account
- Submit your developer profile
You cannot self-select Amazon Business API roles. The Amazon Business team assigns roles after they review your request.
